This guide is designed to help Culinary Arts students find, evaluate, use, and cite information related to their course assignments.

As an ECC student....

Apply at any of their branches and gain access to online resources and ebooks from any internet device.

Scenic Regional Library has

Access to several electronic resources including hoopla.

Access thousands of digital video, music and audiobook titles for use on your computer, smartphone or tablet with hoopla. All content is available streaming; some content is available to download for offline viewing, via the hoopla app.

Public Libraries

As an ECC student you are eligible for a FREE library card to Scenic Regional Library.  You may apply at any branch, show your ECC ID and driver's license (or proof of address)  SRL has many great online resources including Pronunciator (like Rosetta Stone), Chilton's Automotive Manual and ebooks to download to Kindles, Nooks, iPads, etc. Branches are located in Union, Hermann, Owensville, Pacific, New Haven, St. Clair, Warren County Branch and the Bookmobile.

If you live within the city limits of Rolla, you are eligible for a FREE library card to Rolla Public Library.  If you live outside the city limits you may apply for a card at the cost of $20.00 annually, and will need to show proof of current address.

If you live in St. Charles county, you are eligible for a FREE library card to St. Charles City-County Library district.  Complete an application (download) and bring photo ID and proof of address to any branch.  Closest branch to Warrenton is Library Express of Discovery Village in Wentzville.  If you live outside the county the cost of a card is $80 a year.

St. Louis County Library has free library cards to those that live in the library's district.  Fill out the online application or stop by any St Louis County Library location and present photo identification, such as a driver's license, showing your name and current address.  If the photo ID does not include the current address, other documentation must be provided.

Depending on your address, you may be eligible for a FREE library card to Ozark Regional Library. You are required to live in Iron, Crawford, St. Genevieve or Madison County.  You will need to show proof of current address.  There are 3 branches in Iron, 3 branches in Crawford, and one branch each in St. Genevieve and Madison.

As a resident of Osage or Cole County you are eligible for a FREE library card to Missouri River Regional Library. Branches are located in Cole county (Jefferson City) and Osage county (Linn).  If you are a resident of either county you can apply for a FREE card with a photo ID and proof of address.
All residents of Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Franklin, Gasconade, Maries, Miller, Warren counties can also apply for a FREE card at MRRL but may not use Interlibrary Loan or MOBIUS services (through public library).  If you live outside the county limits you may apply for a card at the cost of $25.00 annually, and will need to show proof of current address.

Depending on your address, you may be eligible for a free library card to Texas County Library.  If you live in Texas, Phelps, Dent, Shannon, Howell, Douglas, Wright, Laclede, or Pulaski counties you may apply for a FREE library card with 2 forms of ID (driver's license and proof of address).

Pulaski County Library District issues FREE library cards to those living in Pulaski county with proof of identification and address.
