PTSD, Veterans and Honor Flight

This guide is a starting place for PTK students research on PTSD, Military Veterans and Honor Flight

Definitions:

PTSD - a disorder that develops in some people who have experienced a shocking, scary, or dangerous event. Defined by National Institute of Mental Health.

Military Veteran - a person who served in the active military, naval, or air service, and who was discharged or released therefrom under conditions other than dishonorable. Defined by 38 U.S. Code § 101

Honor Flight Network - a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all their sacrifices. We transport our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill.  Franklin County, Missouri Honor Flight
