What's at the Library?

Located on the first floor of Buescher Hall, ECC Library has

  • 27,000+ books
  • 1,800+ DVDs
  • 1,000+ Music CDs
  • 50  journal subscriptions
  • 325,000+ electronic books

We also have a small number of hotspots, laptops, graphing calculators, kindles and nooks, and ipads to check out.

We are open 50 hours a week, but have many resources available 24/7 from any internet device.

Over 25 different online database resources including

  • EBSCOhost - full-text articles on various subjects
  • Opposing Viewpoints - articles and opinions of controversial subjects
  • ArtStor - images of art and humanities
  • EBSCO ebooks - over 300,000 ebooks
  • Libby - online ebooks and digital audiobooks

Our facility has 20 computers, wireless printing, and over 100 various styles of seating and lots of electrical outlets.

Group Study Room

A group study room may be reserved in two hour increments.  Located near the Library's computer lab, it seats 6-8 people and includes computer, web camera, projector and white board. 

Reserve a time slot at the Library Service Desk.  Bring your ID to check out the door key and dry erase markers.

This room is located in the Quiet area of the Library. 

Study Zones

The Quiet Zone includes large tables, the computer lab (Q Lab), book stacks and comfortable seating by large windows.

  • Brief and low volume conversations
  • Music if inaudible to others
  • Texting is allowed
  • Drinks and snacks allowed

 

 

The Silent Zone offers booth style seating, study carrels, one large table and comfortable seating in our Parkview Room.

  • No conversations
  • Music if inaudible to others
  • No cell phone use
  • Drinks allowed
