East Central College Library has a variety of electronic devices available for check-out at Union campus. Our electronic devices are restricted to current semester enrolled ECC students, staff and faculty. A valid college ID is required for check out and library account must be in good standing.
Hotspot : AT&T cell service or T-mobile cell service area.
Laptop: Dell laptops are available for check out. Microsoft office products are included. Some laptops include Chrome operating system or Windows 11.
Calculators : TI-83 plus graphing calculator or TI-84 plus graphing calculators or Scientific calculators check out for 4 weeks.
Due dates are 9/15; 10/13; 11/10; 12/9. You may renew your calculator 3 times.
USB Headphone with microphone : USB plug and play, headphone with microphone for Zoom.
WebCam : USB plug and play
Fines and Damages: You are responsible for devices and accessories while it’s checked out to you. Devices not returned within 3 business days of the due date will results in a hold being placed on your student account. Devices not returned within allotted time will result in contacting the Union Police to report the item stolen due to non return to the Library.
Login and password for Windows laptops is the same: student [the word student]

What to do :
1. Call ECC Library to verify your item is available at 636-584-6560. We open at 7:30 am. We will verify your student ID number and item needed is available. Please bring your student ID with you.
2. Drive to ECC Union Campus. Enter Buescher Hall, building 4, the Library is located on the first floor.
3. There will be a few items to verify, sign, and you will be on your way within 10 minutes. (We hope 5 minutes!) Please have your student ID available.
4. Let us know if you are not familiar with the device and we can give you a quick introduction.
5. Return your device and all cords in person on or before October 13, 2025. You must return the device to a Library staff person. If you are enrolled in a 16 week course, you will be allowed to renew until December 9, 2025. You must call 636 584-6560 and Verify continued enrollment and attendance for Current Semester

ALL DEVICES ARE DUE BY October 13, 2025 AND MUST BE RETURNED IN PERSON TO LIBRARY STAFF. Renewed devices, confirmed wtih Library staff, are due December 9, 2025.
Assessment of fines and damages
o $5.00 a day late fee, each day past October 13, 2025.
o $700 – replacement fee for Laptop & processing fee ($100)
o $99 – replacement fee Hotspot
o up to $130 – replacement fee for calculators; $8 for charging cord
o $25 – replacement fee for Laptop power-cord or USB headphones with mic
o $20 – replacement fee webcam
o $10 – mouse, hotspot charging cord
o $10 – cost for certified letter processing if not returned on due date at mid-term or end of semester
o Damage to device: actual repair costs
