Poster Presentation "Library Comprehensive Review Update"
Information Fluency: There is a one credit 8 week course (2nd 8 weeks) available for students this Fall. COL105 Research and Information Literacy is online and open for enrollment. We are very excited to bring this course to students at all locations (online) and all pathways. Morgan has a syllabus that steps students through a variety of Information Literacy skills ending in an annotated bibliography.
And still available are one time visits to your classroom for general or specific overviews of Library Research. You can still book those dates with Morgan. These “one-shot” Library Research sessions are perfect to get students introduced to Library resources and services at the start of each semester.
Rolla: We are looking forward to what the new building may need in Library resources…which may include a self-check out machine and additional print resources. Time will tell on that matter. This past year 42 titles were added to the Rolla print collection and 21 Research sessions were conducted. Please reach out to Lisa or Morgan for print title suggestions, or to book a visit to your class in Rolla.
Communication: Our newsletter can be found online, https://eastcentral.libguides.com/LibraryNewsletter and we will retain past newsletters here as well.
Budget: pretty standard stuff here…our wish list of staff, technology, etc. We are receiving 42 new laptops for student circulation using Title 3 grant soon. Some will replace outdated 2020 laptops and we will be able to increase our inventory as well.

This summer we will be revamping the Library mission statement.
We love to collaborate on displays and events. Our photo is of a Culinary Arts display, which includes the guided pathway of courses. Please contact Hannah to get a combined display or event on our blackboard scheduled.
As we finish up our CommUNITY Read this week (Author talks on Wednesday and Thursday) we will finish up this semester events with Black Out Poetry during the Solar Eclipse. We will continue with events with our community and to include our community.
